ABOUT LUCY & HARRIET

We have remained firm friends since we met at Edinburgh University. Since then we both studied at the College of Naturopathic Medicine and we have a very holistic approach to our work.

We look at the individual and aim to find the right breathing techniques according to their needs.
Both of us came to the amazing world of breathing via different routes, but arrived at the same place at the same time and we trained together in Consicous Breathing with Anders Olsson and Buteyko and Oxygen Advantage with Patrick McKeown.
We continue to learn and research as well as practice and teach.  Our passion is to bring awareness of the powerful nature of breathing to all those who want to connect to it.

ABOUT HARRIET

I live in Warwickshire with my husband, 3 children, horses, dogs and a cat; but travel all over to teach breathing techniques and awareness.  I originally came to breath work 25 years ago when I was suffering with anxiety and panic attacks and a homeopath advised that I change my breathing pattern.

Through breath work I cured my panic attacks and then didn’t think much more about it.  However in 2019, through working with my own children on various challenges that they were facing, we found ourselves back at breathing.  I rediscovered this powerful tool, a tool that we all have with us, all the time.  I believe that understanding our breath and breathing as we were born to, helps us all on so many levels, in relation to health and happiness.

ABOUT LUCY

Following a career in fashion retail I studied naturopathic nutrition before focusing on breath work. I have three children. My eldest daughter was given a dental expander very young. If I knew then what I know now I might have avoided it happening but this began my breath work journey. Babies are born instinctively nasal breathing but often they shift to mouth breathing. When we breathe through our nose we ensure that the tongue position is correct which will shape our jaw properly. We often reduce the use of our diaphragm at a young age too moving from slower lower breathing to faster upper chest breathing especially during times of anxiety. I am particularly interested in teaching children and their parents how and why to breathe correctly and love seeing the benefits it brings.

Founders, B is for Breath.

“Learning to breathe again has changed my life forever. My anxieties have disappeared and I now start each day with a fresh outlook and can’t wait to start my day.”
